Hebrew Ulpan - Adults - עברית

For those who are unfamiliar with the Tarbuton approach, a few words about what makes the Tarbuton Ulpan experience different:

Conversational Skills Focus: The Tarbuton™ program is unique in that it focuses on conversational skills.  We do not spend time on reading/writing, and we do not spend time on religious prayer.  The intent is to teach conversational Hebrew in such a way that you you can converse in modern Hebrew with confidence.

Highly Qualified Teachers: The Tarbuton™ teachers are credentialed teachers.  (BA and more in Education.  They love to teach and its their professional choice to do so.)  This makes them uniquely qualified to not only build lesson plans successfully, but work with a class with a variety of skill sets and manage to advance each individuals skills.

Interactive - Hebrew in Hebrew: The program is deliberately interactive.  The students spend most of the time using their Hebrew language skills.  Not listening to a teacher and/or following along in a book.  The teachers are native Hebrew speakers, which makes it easy for them to keep the exercises focused on the needs of the students and easy for them to identify the gaps in knowledge and modify/adjust their lessons accordingly.

Cultural Focus: The program is immersed in Israeli culture.  Students and Teachers share stories of their experiences in Israel, music, literature and more.  This program is designed to give you opportunities to enjoy and learn about Israel and learn Hebrew with a community that loves Israel.

Small Class Sizes: We keep our class sizes deliberately low (no more than 10) to ensure the level of interaction and opportunities to speak for students is high.

Community of Hebrew Speakers and Committed Hebrew Language Learners: The beauty of the Tarbuton™ Adult Ulpan is that parents can learn Hebrew the same hour as their children are enrolled in a class with a Teacher on our Children's teaching staff.  In addition, the Tarbuton™ which is a community filled with Hebrew speakers and a connection to Israel provides students in the Adult Ulpan with a ready community to practice with.  The Tarbuton classes include a variety of Israeli supplemental programs including lectures, movies, cafe v'ivrit, etc. to help reinforce the language you're learning and to provide easy ways to socialize within the community.
