Cheri Weiss received Smicha/Ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles, California in May 2018.  She is currently enrolled in the Rabbinical program at AJRCA with anticipated ordination in May 2020.

She has served congregations throughout Southern California as Cantorial Intern and Guest Cantor, and was High Holy Days Cantor in Providence, RI and Houston, TX among many other things. Her CD Hineni for the High Holidays is available on her web site.

Cheri’s mission is to create and elevate community and spirituality through liturgical music.

There’s More  Cheri joined the Startup18 Lab to expand her work providing free Jewish music and prayers for the homebound or hospital-bound seniors and others with disabilities. She provided her music to Chaplains, Rabbis, Social Workers and other care providers who reach those who are homebound and in need of Jewish spirituality.  She has offered many Jewish concerts with area hazan professionals in San Diego and Palm Springs.  She has participated in services at Congregation Beth El and has offered Kabbalat Shabbat services at the Lawrence Family JCC.
