Cheryl Price
Cheryl Price is the Founder and Executive Director of The Butterfly Project. She is an artist who specializes in ceramics, sculpture and architectural design. She creates public art that brings communities together for a cause. Her role has expanded globally, coaching educators and artists engaged with The Butterfly Project to create impactful events and interfaith programming with an emphasis on the healing power of art to build connection and community.

Is There More? Cheryl has been a pioneer for San Diego’s Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Holocaust Education Conferences, facilitating Holocaust survivor relationships with educators and students. She served as Artist-in-Residence at San Diego Jewish Academy. Her board memberships have included the Agency for Jewish Education and San Diego Center for Jewish Culture. Cheryl participated in the Jewish Community Hackathon in 2017 and has been an active member of the Startup18 Lab. Her project to create an educator training program won seed funds at the event.

Jennie Starr
TARBUTON AND STARTUP18 LAB AND FELLOWSHIPS
Jennie Starr is a communications and marketing professional working in life sciences in San Diego. She is a lawyer with a background in high tech product management.
Jennie is the founder and Director of Tarbuton, a nonprofit that creates new entry points for Jewish community by supporting independent Jewish and Israeli community projects. She created the Startup18 Lab and several fellowships with training to inspire and encourage. The Jewish Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness Fellowship in partnership with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and a Teen Songleader Fellowship is in partnership with Rick Recht and his Songleader Boot Camp to inspire future song leadership in the community. Jennie also offered Jewish educator awards through Tarbuton in partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to celebrate and reward local independent Jewish educators.
Jennie is passionate about Israeli music, dance and plays. She organizes Israeli cultural events bringing Israeli plays, actors, dancers and authors to San Diego.

Is There More? Tarbuton has received awards and acknowledgement including selection three times for the Slingshot Guide for Jewish innovation. A long time advocate of Hebrew Public, Jennie helped launch Kavod, San Diego’s Hebrew Language Charter School and created a Jewish After School program, Kesher, generously funded by the Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life. She also founded and served as a mentor for IAC Eitanim, a social entrepreneur program for middle school and high school teens in San Diego.
Jennie served on committees with the Jewish Federation of San Diego County including their YAD Young Adult Leadership, Yom Haatzmaout/Celebrate Israel, Yom HaZikaron, and P2P Shaar HaNegev Partnership committees. Jennie is a member of the AIPAC Council and the IAC’s San Diego Regional Council.
Gady Amor & Amir Tsuri
KOL CALIFORNIA & KESHER AUDIO
Gady Amor is a real estate appraiser and Amir Tsuri an engineer. Gady created a digital radio station Kol California and has broadcast in Hebrew generally to the Israeli expat population in the US and to a vibrant community in Israel. Broadcasting on Sat mornings for years, Gady has cultivated a following of listeners as well as guest DJs.
Eager to share Jewish, Israeli, and all kinds of music with the public, Gady began to offer the Jewish community the opportunity to create their own stations. Partnering with Amir Tsuri, they created Kesher Audio whose purpose was to share the tools with others in the community seeking to build community through music their own way.

Is There More? Kesher Audio has sweetened events such as Bira v’Nashira, the Celebrate Israel Festival and House of Israel Lawn Event. They have also been invited to share their work with local education programs such as Kavod Hebrew Language Charter School.
